Hi Tim- Just a note to say I discovered your site on [a web radio directory] tonight and that I think the music is great. A friend of mine runs thumpradio in SFO and I know from his personal experience that it's a thankless and often not commercially rewarding task to bring musical goodness to the internet masses. Best of luck to you and please keep on keeping on.

I found your site and station via [a web radio directory] by doing a search for "Seattle" and I'm so psyched to find that you're local! I attribute a hefty percentage of my work productivity to staying plugged into my headphones - no commercials or bad music! So, I would like to know more about how I might be able to take a more active role in keeping this service available.

I downloaded winamp today for the first time...I've been bored with just listening to Dr. Jazz in Hamburg and KKJZ...the Screen Savers had this recommend about winamp 5.05...anyway I don't know why I seized your station, but I put it on...I'm 52 years old...I'm supposed to listen to something else...Guy Lombardo or Lawrence Welk....Johnny Cash...I'm old and fat...I have this long beard. I should be redneck...listening to Rush Limbaugh and drinking beer on the porch....but no, I listen to [Jet City Lounge]. DAMMMMMM! I'm at 4500 feet above sea level in the Black HIlls of South Dakota connected....I miss living...I mean really living....and your station made me feel like I was living again.
all I know is that someplace there has to be humanity...it must be Seattle and [Jet City Lounge]. Please don't tell me different. I want to live the fantasy now...I want to believe in a different world where children can actually grow up and breathe clean air, have all the food and toys they want, and dream-up...

I just installed WinAmp 5.05--I was quickly sampling Internet radio stations, adding bookmarks, and moving on until I started listening to your great playlist. Now I can't bring myself to change stations or even listen to my own collection. In the hours that I've been listening, I've heard just one song that's already in my collection, Thievery Corporation's "Air Batacuda."
I'm enjoying your programming so much that I had to send the URL to a few friends who I know enjoy Chill.
Congratulations on the nice new gig at Microsoft, and thanks for the great music.

I searched for Groove Salad and found a site that had your station linked. Everyone tended to like it better, so I gave it a shot.
If you want a 128kbps station to loan for a while, my station's currently down.
I've been hearing your music lately and it's just godly. Although my station only supports 20 listeners, it's good quality on a good server. Let me know if you're interested
I keep your station on ALL day long, since it's just calming to browse and work while listening to so me damn-good chill. I have a bad habit of rushing to your site in the middle of a brainstorm just to write down a song name because I'm addicted to it so much! :P
It just makes me wonder: where do you get most of your stuff? O_O You have quite a collection!

Finally had some time to setup my Surround Sound speakers - problem was getting speakers and headphones to work at the same time for VoIP calls. Now that the sepakers are setup - I'm in tune, I can just click on [Groovera Chilled Web Radio] Windows Media version and your music comes up. And then after hearing some audia - the Tim Quigley quality of music selection hasthe not ceased to be tops - you have the appetite for good grooves, moreso. Selecting tunes is an art in itself, suprisingly rare... I'm instantly transferred near a plateau of exasperatingly tranquil sonic anesthesia, a mental rejuevenator from everyday worries....

Hi Tim, Well I finally got broadband through my local cable provider and its a true enhancement. Anybody that is somewhat serious about electronic information and imaging should be using it. Oh did I mention music, another neccessary passage in life. Tim, I have sampled other so called ambient web sites for musical programing and your collect still stands out. Its just a matter of getting notice or reconized by the right decision makers, I know your background and reputation lands credibility. The next issue I wanted to discuss was sound quality, I know you advertise MP3 PRO sound, but at 2100 to 4800 sampler rate is still a far cry from true CD quality sound. I was listening to AOL radio for broadband and "wow" the sound was greatly enhanced. There formates in this genra are broken down into groups such as Abract (sic) Beats, Electronic, Techno, Trance, and Ambient. There interesting in their own way, but I find myself surfing through them, while [Jet City Lounge] in itself is superior.! I know the public at large is satisfied with IPOD MP3 formats for their space and storge ability, but for the rest of us whose brains are wired for quality sound, its hard to ignore sound quality. Can you give me an update on [Jet City Lounge]'s plans going into the last quarter of the year, more bandwieth, etc.. Thanks for your reply.

I am an enthusiastic supporter of [Groovera Chilled Web Radio]. I love all kinds of music, but this is the music that runs most closely along with who I am and have been, if that makes any sense. There are not many stations that I can just let play and be completely satisfied. That alone made me want to contribute.

I found the station randomly through [a web radio directory], but it was the only one that I really stayed with consistently. Eventually, I made my way over to the [Groovera Chilled Web Radio] website, where I read your story and felt pretty inspired, impressed and moved. I'm really glad you're doing what you're doing and I wish you a great amount of success and fulfillment in all of the varied projects that you are likely to take on and excel in as the years go by.

Most of all, thanks for putting the great music out here. Everything from Del Mar to Toshinori Kondo and DJ Krush. Excellent.

Love your site and the tunes you play. As you may know, there is a similar experiment going on here in Santa Fe on commercial radio called Blu 102...with all of its stylistic elements, does have a chance to become a widespread format... I had my very popular program on their station for [a couple of] months. Best of luck to you.

I just want to say that I stream your webcast all day at work with WinAmp. Your broadcast is awesome! I have many CDs that you play like Weekend Players, Groove Armada, and Massive Attack. Have you considered an XM Satellite Radio broadcast? I'd buy XM Radio just to get your station on my way home from work.

Anyway, I'm contacting you because I often hear songs that are compilation CDs of [Jet City Lounge] or other artists that I just can't find. Do you sell CDs? Again, another great opportunity for additional revenue stream as long as you avoid the copyright infringement issue.

Keep up the great tunes!

I just cannot describe the joy that this station has given me! I've been recently laid-off from my job as a Telecommunications rep (MCI) and I'm sitting at the PC, looking for some good tunes. Downloaded 'WINAMP' and searched [a radio directory]. The name was what drew me. Hmmm. Must be seriously cold! To my suprise...It was!!!

If you need a correspondant in the Southern region of the US, I'm your guy! Your Bio sounds like you were in my Den listening to my conversation with a friend last week! I guess with the advent of 'Satellite' radio and the this medium, the traditional AM/FM 'Disk Jockey' is out the window. (Currently seeking employment as a weekend jock anywhere) Meaning, in order to hear the good stuff, youve got to be tuned into Internet or Satellite radio.

At any rate, I'm a fan! Please don't stop!

I enjoyed reading your Bio and have been enjoying your vision and insight into the future of music. I only discovered this format 6months ago through a friend, and your right this is european oriented artist. The limited Chill-out copulations (sic) availible are CDs containing songs represented by different unknown artist. The "Style Lounge Series", has appealed to me and I have aquired 3 versions with intent to purchase 2 more. Your collection of songs are indeed intriquing and I share your vision for this form of music. I just keep thinking to myself that people like ourselfs are just ahead of our time, and it wil take the rest of the population time to catch up. Keep your passion moving forward, keep the faith and vision one day will both look back on this time frame and know that We were pioneering fans of this advanced music form to be appreciated. American culture has to move forward in order to accomplish this on the large scale it deserves. I often wondering about "New Age" music with only limited trial access, but now with Chillout, that consideration can be fortified.

What makes [Groovera Chilled Web Radio] so unique is that 90% of what your playing I've never heard before. I can expect that the next musical number to be played to be a new listening experience. Occasionally I'll hear a repeat, but that's good. How many times have you heard a song that didn't 'grab' you until you've heard it a few times. In fact right now I'm hearing Royksopp's 'In Space'. I knew I'd heard it before but had to check the name to be sure.

I like the fact that you play a variety of songs by an artist and not just the 'next release'. One example would be Sandspider. I've now heard two songs, Small Town Hassles & Ten Spoons, both of which I like. How many CDs have you purchased that the majority of selections are... well let's just say below consideration... or mediocre at best? I also like that you play 'the best of yesterday... the best of today' creating, in a sense, a timeless format. In other words... no top 40 heavy rotation style.

Suggesting, musically, what to play would be like making suggestions to a surgeon... never mess with the real thing. Since, in my opinion, you are hitting on all 8 cylinders on the music side of things, maybe you might put together a few more station promotionals. This would give you voice recognition and show your production capabilities. (I'll bet you can remember a familiar station ID trailer to this day.) Besides, you never know who might be listening in.

In the end, I'm likin' things just as you are doing 'em! So till next time...

Keep 'em coming.
